AMATLAN de CAÑAS is located in the Sierra Madre Mountains of Mexico, a 3 hour drive from Guadalajara. Up until seven years ago the pueblo was isolated because there were only dirt roads.  Since paving a road to the main highway, progress has been made.  To walk down the cobbled stoned streets and feel the genuine warmth of the local people will be part of your healing process.  There are two internet stores. Thank you, Amatlan.

unitsLos Pavorreales, means "The Peacocks".  It is a 9 year old -  8 unit quaint hotel in a charming Mexican pueblo.  A five minute pleasant walk to several hot spring pools. Organic lemon and lime, mango and other exotic fruit trees grow right on the property and make shade for the real peacocks.

More Pictures.

Our exercise will be soaking in the hot spring pools and swimming in the cool pool on the property, restorative yoga on the lawn, walks through cobble stoned paths, and hikes in the surrounding mountainside. In the evening we will sit under the stars, share our dreams and aspirations and even sing a song or two.

We will offer informal Spanish Language Instruction for one hour each day. You will get the opportunity to practice your Spanish with the generous people of this village. There is no better way to learn a language than to live in an authentic Mexican pueblo. This peaceful setting will give you the opportunity to truly relax and recharge yourself in body, mind and spirit.
